About

About footage.center

footage.center is a personal television station prototype built and operated by Adam Pang. The idea is that a person's interest graph of people, ideas, music, and current quest programs an endless stream of directed 12 to 30 second vertical episodes, instead of a generic trend feed.

What works today

The public footage.center site is an interactive browser prototype. Cable playback, feedback controls, taste weights, queue state, and Studio production records all work in the browser using sample episodes. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is required to try it.

What is still simulated

The footage.center interest graph ingestion, prefetch generation, and video model adapter are not connected yet. The episodes on the station are sample data, so faster-than-realtime generation is a design goal for the product and not yet a proven claim.

Principles

Every footage.center clip is meant to open as a production record with sources, rights, consent, prompts, edits, captions, voice, music, provenance, and render history attached. Video models are treated as swappable renderers; the graph, director, queue, and records are the product.
